Tour Description

It's an ancient mystical cemetery 35km from the city of Puno, where a series of impressive tombs built by the Collas and the Incas can be seen. Access to this archaeological complex is peaceful; the route is along an asphalt road, at an altitude of 3,925 meters above sea level.

Sillustani is a small peninsula with an indescribable landscape. According to recent studies, these funerary towers were not only tombs; their purpose was also related to certain energetic forces present in the place. In fact, countless people have experienced magical and inexplicable experiences there.

Detailed Itinerary

  • 13:45. Pickup from passengers' hotels located in the downtown area of Puno.
  • 14:00. The bus departs for the Sillustani archaeological complex, arriving in approximately 40 minutes. Then, we start the walk towards the necropolis from the Colla and Inca era, where the advanced ancestral architecture and engineering are displayed in each funerary tower of the cemetery. We'll enjoy the positive energy of this sacred place; the visiting time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • 16:30. Return to the city of Puno; during the journey, there will be a brief stop of approximately 10 minutes at a family house to appreciate their customs. The local people still live in typical houses built with stones, mud, and straw. Additionally, you'll be able to observe closely South American camelids such as the Huanaco, llama, alpaca, and have the opportunity to take photographs.
  • 18:15. Arrival in the city of Puno and transfer to your hotels in the downtown area.
