Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: UROS - AMANTANI

  • 07:45. Pickup from our passengers' hotels and transfer to the port of the city of Puno, where we will take our comfortable motorboat heading to the Floating Islands of the Uros.
  • 08:15. Start of the excursion; during the ride, we'll observe the flora and fauna of Lake Titicaca, a 30-minute navigation.
  • 08:50. Arrival at the Floating Islands of the Uros; here, you can see the native families who still live on the islands in the middle of the lake that they built themselves. You can also take part in a cultural demonstration, experience their way of life, and get close to their reality.
  • 13:00. Arrival at Amantani Island, where the local families will be waiting to give us a warm welcome and take us to their home lodging where we'll settle in and have a delicious typical lunch.
  • 16:00. We start a walk towards the highest point of the island, the ceremonial centers called PACHATATA and PACHAMAMA. From this point, we'll witness a beautiful sunset. After participating in this experience, we return to the family lodging for dinner.
  • At night after dinner, the families organize a folkloric party or peña, a celebration with Andean music and dance to which you'll be invited, using the typical clothing of the island, creating an unforgettable moment among local and foreign guests.

DAY 2: AMANTANI - TAQUILE - PUNO

  • 07:00. We'll have a delicious Andean breakfast with our host family, followed by a farewell.
  • 08:00. We'll embark towards Taquile Island, known as the most beautiful island on Lake Titicaca for its beautiful landscapes.
  • 09:00. Here, we'll walk uphill to reach the main square, where you'll have the best view of the Sacred Lake of the Incas. We'll also have the opportunity to see the best textiles made by the locals, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
  • 12:00. Enjoy a delicious lunch.
  • 13:00. Board the return boat to the city of Puno.
  • 15:15. Arrival at the port; then transferred to hotels or bus station.
